Funky Orange on the go
There’s nothing healthier than fresh orange juice, but squeezing
the oranges can be a hassle.This recipe is very simple, but fun
is guaranteed! Meant with children in mind, but the grownups
will secretly enjoy it too!

Step one is the most fun: ‘tenderising’ the Papillon orange.The aim is to release the juice in the orange without opening it. Roll the orange over a table top or between your hands. You need to make it as soft as possible, so you can do this for as long as you like. You can even squeeze it gently, but be careful not to burst the skin!

Once you have softened the Papillon orange, cut off the top. When doing so, try to stab straight into the orange with a peeler. The idea is to take away as much of the white pith as possible when you pull off the top. Because the orange is tender, the white pith usually comes away from the flesh easily.

When you have pulled the top right off, a well appears in the orange. Break the sugar cube into two pieces and stick them one after the other as deep as you can into the orange.
